Control Carbon Emissions

What is CCE?
CCE or Control Carbon Emission is a website created by a group of students from General Juan Castaneda Senior High School who are advocating for the mitigation of the effects of carbon emission by lessening its production in our environment. It is a platform for all the necessary information, statistics, news, and foundations relating to carbon emissions. A convenient and important website for other students who require the knowledge and information for taking action in their pursuit of a better Earth free from the effects of carbon emissions.
WHAT ARE CARBON EMISSIONS?
HAVE YOU CHECKED?
Carbon emissions are the release of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gasses into our atmosphere. This mainly occurs due to human activities we do in our day to day lives. Carbon emissions are connected to global warming and climate change as a whole.
Knowing how much carbon you produce in your day to day lives is an excellent start on knowing how to change your daily activities to greatly lessen the effects of carbon emissions. Try it out for yourself!
WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF TOO MUCH CARBON EMISSIONS?
Too much production of carbon can lead to intense climate change causing abnormal heat waves and precipitation patterns in our atmosphere. Other notable effects of climate change are the following:
Global Warming - Carbon dioxide traps heat in our atmosphere causing the Earth’s temperature to rise.
Food scarcity - Declining production of crops due to high temperatures caused by carbon emissions.
Loss of species - High and low temperatures may affect the survivability rate of many different kinds of animals in our ecosystem, which may lead to mass endangerment of species and possible extinction.
Barack Obama, US
"The people who bear the burden of climate change didn’t cause it. That’s a profound injustice."
François Hollande, FR
"The time is past when humankind thought it could selfishly draw on exhaustible resources. We know now the world is not a commodity."
Greta Thunberg
"You say you love your children above all else, and yet you are stealing their future in front of their very eyes by not acting on climate change."
EFFECTS OF
CARBON EMISSION
These images vividly demonstrate the devastating consequences of unchecked carbon emissions on our planet. From melting glaciers and rising sea levels to extreme weather events and air pollution, the evidence is clear that our reliance on fossil fuels and unsustainable practices is driving climate change. Each of these scenes serves as a reminder that the choices we make today directly shape the world we leave for future generations.
